The Tottenham Hotspur ace has been in sensational form for his club this season.

When writing his regular column for Sky Sports, Jamie Redknapp shared his belief that Spurs ace Christian Eriksen is well on his way to reaching the next level as a footballer, highlighting the Dane’s new-found ability of getting into the opposition’s penalty area as a reason why.
The 25-year-old has been sensational for Tottenham since joining the club in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be in the region of £12.5 million, chalking up 45 goals and 60 assists in 189 games for the club.
He has begun this season in sizzling form, registering three goals and two assists in eight Premier League games thus far, and has been a major contributing factor behind the Lilywhites’ strong start to their campaign.

“We all know him for his assists but he’s already got three Premier League goals and I’ve noticed a new desire from him to get into the box. I asked him if that is something he consciously tried to do and he said yes, that he wants to get more goals. He’s scored plenty from outside the box in the past – but it’s those tap-ins and close-range finishes which get you up to 15 goals in a season. They’re the ones the likes of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard made a habit of scoring. When you can do that it takes you to the next level.”

Next up for the north London outfit is a huge game against Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday, and they will need Eriksen to be at his brilliant best if they are to take all three points against Jürgen Klopp’s men.
