Sunderland drew with Tottenham Hotspur and won against Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend.

Sunderland returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. The Black Cats got the better of Crystal Palace 4-0 away from home at Selhurst Park.

It was quite an expected result. Many would have expected Palace to pick up all three points from the encounter in London, but things did not turn out well for the Eagles.

Lamine Kone, Didier Ibrahim N’Dong and Jermain Defoe (two) were the goalscorers for Sunderland. Former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton was following the match, and he was impressed with the final result.

Sutton has also aired his opinion on Sunderland’s week. Prior to the win against Palace, the Black Cats played out a goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday evening.

Sunderland are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 24 matches.

Moyes’s side are just two points behind 17th-placed Swansea City and still have a chance of staving off relegation to the Championship at the end of the season.
