According to media reports, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is interested in bringing Stewart and Edmundson to Ibrox in the summer transfer window.
The Scottish Sun has claimed that talks between Stewart and Rangers are at an advanced stage.
Stewart spent the second half of the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Rangers’ Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen from Birmingham City in the Championship in England.
Birmingham have released the 29-year-old forward, meaning that the former Dundee man is available on a free transfer.
According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 63, May 19, 2019), Rangers are interested in signing Edmundson from Oldham Athletic this summer (click here to read more).
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Rangers will have to pay £500,000 as transfer fee to secure the services of the 21-year-old defender.

Former Celtic striker Sutton has given his take on Rangers’ reported interest in Edmundson and Stewart on BT Sport.
Sutton said about Edmundson and Stewart on BT Sport: “George Edmundson – raw, aggressive player. It is interesting the way Rangers are going about their business in terms of not always bringing in young, hungry players because they have brought Greg Stewart. I do think that’s a bit of a strange one.
“I haven’t seen him (Edmundson) play, but I am led to believe that he is a really talented, young, aggressive player which would fit the mould for Rangers.”
