HITC sources understands that Chelsea remain locked in talks with a European giant to complete their second forward signing of the summer.
Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have been one of the busier sides in the summer transfer window with the Italian replacing Mauricio Pochettino as manager of the Blues.
Chelsea signed Barcelona’s Marc Guiu earlier this summer with the Spaniard deciding to reject the La Liga giants’ attempts to sign a new deal and decided to move to Stamford Bridge.
Sources have told HITC that Chelsea are also in talks with Napoli for Victor Osimhen with Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku potentially moving in the opposite direction.

Chelsea locked in talks for Samu Omorodion
HITC sources confirm that Chelsea are locked in talks with Atletico Madrid over a deal for striker Samu Omorudion.
We had reported that Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez has agreed personal terms with Atletico Madrid with a £70 million move close to being completed.
The Spanish giants have refused to consider allowing the 20-year-old Spaniard to leave the club all summer, but now having landed Alexander Sorloth and a deal all but agreed for Alvarez – they are now open to a possible sale of Omorodion.
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have been locked in talks all week with the main subject of these discussions being English midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Sources have told HITC that the deal to take Gallagher to Atletico has been agreed and although a deal for Omorodion is not related in any way, they are now understood to be looking at a deal that would almost be a straight swap in terms of money changing hands.
Despite the deal for Gallagher not being related to Omorodion potentially moving the other way, sources have told HITC that these talks over the young forward have meant Gallagher travelling to Spain is currently on hold as the two clubs try to thrash out a deal for the 20-year-old.
Samu’s stance on Chelsea move explained
Sources have told HITC that Samu would be open to a move to Stamford Bridge this summer and the promising forward is a name that the Blues have been chasing all summer.
Chelsea’s summer transfer targets have seemingly been younger players with high potential to try and improve at the club rather than Chelsea bringing in ready-made talents.
Willian Estevao will join Chelsea next summer, whilst Guiu has already joined the club as they aim to build a younger squad at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Omorodion, 20, would certainly fit the bill and the Blues are still hoping to strike a deal to land the Spanish forward this summer.
Simeone hailed the Spanish forward as ‘very good’ back in October, as per The Metro, and the striker would certainly be an interesting addition at Stamford Bridge.
