After their spending spree this summer, Chelsea’s hierarchy are now looking to get a major sale over the line.

It has been a bizarre transfer window for the Blues. They have already made nine new signings and are showing no signs of slowing down.

Chelsea’s latest deal for Samu Omorodion has collapsed, but they remain in the market for a new centre-forward and still have their eyes on Victor Osimhen.

To fund their spending, Chelsea have chosen to sell their academy products including Conor Gallagher, who is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid.

Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson have also left the club this summer, and HITC understands Chelsea are now looking to move Raheem Sterling on.

Unlike Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah, Sterling will not be forced out of the club, but Chelsea chiefs are eager to complete a sale.

£50million Chelsea signing up for sale

Chelsea signed Sterling from Manchester City for £50million back in 2022 in what was Todd Boehly‘s first major signing as the new club owner.

Just two years on, the London outfit have made it clear to the 29-year-old that he can leave.

Chelsea had approached the Saudi Pro League to explore a potential deal but Sterling showed no desire to make a move.

During talks with Crystal Palace over Michael Olise it was also discussed whether Sterling could be part of a deal for the French winger.

HITC can confirm that Italian giants Juventus have now asked about Sterling and Chelsea are very much open to a deal. They would be willing to subsidise his wages to get a deal over the line.

HITC understands there also remains interest from the MLS and a move to America is believed to appeal to Sterling. However, he would prefer to stay in Europe as he believes he still has a lot to offer.
