Chelsea believe that the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino will stop Mason Mount from leaving for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal or Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
Chelsea hope Arsenal target Mason Mount will not leave after Mauricio Pochettino arrival
90min have reported that Chelsea are close to appointing former Tottenham boss Pochettino as their new manager.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are hopeful that the arrival of the Argentine to Stamford Bridge will show Mount the level of ambition that the club has and will convince him to stay at the Blues.
90min have claimed that Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United all are keen on signing Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Goal reported this month that Arsenal have already opened talks in regard to sign the 24-year-old England international, described as “very exciting” by Liverpool and England international midfielder Jordan Henderson in Metro.

HITC Verdict: Summer transfer could still happen
In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window even if Mauricio Pochettino becomes the new manager of the Blues.
We do not think that the arrival of Pochettino at Chelsea would make that much of a difference for Mount and on his final decision.
That Arsenal have already reportedly opened talks shows that there is at least some interest from Mount in a move to the Gunners.
Arsenal could win the Premier League title this season, and they are a club on the up.
