Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are confident that they will be able to sign Tottenham Hotspur target and Everton winger Anthony Gordon in the summer transfer window, according to 90min.
Chelsea confident of signing Tottenham target Anthony Gordon from Everton
90min have reported that Chelsea have made an offer to Premier League rivals Everton of £50 million guaranteed and paid in instalments, plus a a further £10m in add-ons.
Gordon, also linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, is keen on a switch to Chelsea, who ‘believe their bid is strong enough to convince the Toffees to sell’, according to the report.
Chelsea’s reported confidence about signing Gordon – described as “a player who is very explosive” by former Everton manager Rafael Benitez in The Liverpool Echo in October 2021 – will come as a blow for Tottenham.
Earlier this week, CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs reported on Twitter that Tottenham are keen on Gordon and are willing to pay £35 million for him.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, if Anthony Gordon wants a move to Chelsea, then the London club are likely to be able to sign the Everton winger ahead of Premier League and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
A transfer fee of £50 million for a 21-year-old winger is quite a lot of money, and Everton could be tempted to cash in on him now.
Tottenham have spent money this summer, but we do not see them coming with an offer that is better than Chelsea’s.
