Chelsea might be without a manager, but that isn’t stopping the transfer rumours from circling the club.

The powers that be at Stamford Bridge have already spent beyond £1bn since replacing Roman Abramovich in the main hotseat and it has produced mixed results.

There is a reason why Mauricio Pochettino left and it wouldn’t be a surprise if a lack of power, when it comes to transfers, is a part of it.

Chelsea have brought in some of the best young talents from across Europe, in some cases, when it comes to Cole Palmer, it has produced results of the highest order.

But others, such as Mykhailo Mudryk, are still trying to find their feet, even if the 23-year-old has improved during the past few weeks of the season.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Chelsea had eyes on the Championship play-off final which Southampton won by beating Leeds United on Sunday at Wembley.

The fact that Leeds will be remaining in England’s second tier, it doesn’t bode well for the club keeping some of their star players and it does interest Chelsea.

Sources told HITC in April that the West London club are interested in signing much-wanted winger, Crysencio Summerville.

Jermaine Beckford is expecting the Dutch star to leave and believes he has had an ‘absolutely outrageous’ season, as he told talkSPORT.

This scenario suits those at Stamford Bridge because, rather than signing the player for a hefty transfer fee, they would now get him for a cut price because of Leeds’ current standing and how they have been left powerless.

Crysencio Summerville to leave Leeds United and join Chelsea?

“I do think there will be incomings and outgoings,” said Beckford about Summerville’s future. “Summerville, Championship Player of the Season. Absolutely outrageous all season.

“He’s destined for massive, massive things in the Premier League or other top divisions. I can see one or two (leaving).”

Crysencio Summerville in demand

The issue facing Chelsea is that they aren’t the only ones keen on Summerville and you feel that interest will only increase now Leeds will be remaining in the Championship.

You could just see Summerville fitting the bill at the club because he is the profile of players they have been signing in recent windows.

The 22-year-old scored 19 goals in the Championship this season, but it still wasn’t enough to see Leeds earn promotion.

This is despite the Yorkshire side recording 90 points during the regular campaign – no team has ever earned more points without going up.
