Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are pushing to get a deal done for Arsenal target and Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Chelsea will make a new bid for Casadei this week.
Romano has added that Nice are also keen on securing the services of the 19-year-old Italian midfielder.
There has been speculation in the Italian media that Chelsea’s London and Premier League rivals Arsenal are also keen on signing Casadei from former Italian champions Inter in the summer transfer window.
La Repubblica reported on July 30 that Arsenal have had an offer for Casadei turned down.

Chelsea to push ahead for Arsenal target Cesare Casadei
Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Chelsea are likely to beat Arsenal and Nice to the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
A report in the Italian media over the weekend claimed that Casadei wants to move to the Premier League.
Yes, Nice are a big club in France, but Chelsea are a global brand and one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Arsenal do not seem to have made a second bid for the midfielder yet after their initial offer last month was rejected.
If the teenager is keen on playing in England, then Chelsea appear to be the best-placed club to sign him.
