Hull City are one of three clubs keen on the Celtic defender, who has since established himself as a regular under Brendan Rodgers.
Celtic’s Dedryck Boyata has told the Scottish Sun he received interest from three clubs, including Hull City, after asking his agent to find him a new one in January.
Boyata has started each of the Bhoys’ last four Premiership fixtures and proved the match winner in two of those.
Before then, however, the Belgian looked to be on his way out of Celtic Park, having featured just once under new boss Brendan Rodgers.

And he admitted could have returned to English football with Hull City – or moved to either Germany or Belgium – had the interest been more concrete.
“Given that I wasn’t playing at Celtic, I told my agent to look at what was possible. But I also asked him not to give me unnecessary headaches and only talk to me about concrete offers,” Boyata told the Scottish Sun.

“It is true, he mentioned the interest of Anderlecht, Werder Bremen and Hull, but it was never serious enough to alert Celtic. Especially, since I am now back in the team.
“I have two and a half years left of my contract here. I have played nearly 50 games with Celtic. I don’t have any definite plans for the future, but I am secure at Celtic.
“It would have been nice to go back home to Belgium, but their interest was never serious enough. I still have my dreams in football. The one that currently occupies me is Celtic. Possibly, one day I may be able to prove myself in the Premier League.
“Today, I have never felt so comfortable as I do at Celtic. I’m getting married next year and I am settled.”

Hull did not go empty handed, though, bringing in Inter Milan’s Andrea Ranocchia on loan, and the defender impressed in the Tigers’ 2-0 win against Liverpool on Saturday.
Boyata moved to English football 11 years ago with Manchester City, but left for Celtic at the end of his contract in 2015.
