Celtic seemingly won’t be signing Hannes Wolf after all, with Swansea City on the verge of securing the Borussia Monchengbladbach playmaker.
Celtic have been busy this month, bringing in the likes of Yosuke Ideguchi, Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate.
The Bhoys have also been linked with adding a playmaker or two just to bring some more creativity to Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Riley McGree was a top target, but the Australian ace picked a move to Middlesbrough over Celtic.
The hot name now is Milton Keynes Dons star Matt O’Riley, with the League One star on the verge of arriving at Parkhead.
But what about Hannes Wolf?
Bild reported in December that Celtic were interested in bringing Gladbach talent Wolf to Glasgow.
Later that same month, Bild reported that Wolf was surplus to requirements and Celtic were fighting with Rapid Vienna and Trabzonspor.
Fast forward a few weeks and those Celtic links have completely died down, especially with O’Riley on his way in.
Wolf is though making a move to the UK, because Wales Online claim that he will be joining Swansea City – ironically, the club Celtic have beaten to O’Riley.
Wolf will be heading to Swansea on loan for the rest of the season, with visa issues not believed to be a problem now.

The 22-year-old was a highly-rated talent at Red Bull Salzburg, prompting a 2019 move to RB Leipzig.
With Ralf Rangnick excited about signing him, everything seemed to be in place for Wolf to become a star – but it just hasn’t happened.
Injury and competition for places meant Leipzig loaned Wolf to Gladbach last season before a permanent deal was activated last summer.
Wolf just hasn’t received enough playing time this season, and that now means that Swansea are able to land him.
Celtic will be happy with O’Riley, but they may just have one eye on Wolf, analysing his impact in English football ahead of a potential future move.
