Ardon Jashari will leave FC Luzern for a club featuring regularly in the Champions League this summer in what could be a boost to Celtic’s hopes of signing the Leeds United and Middlesbrough target, Nau report.
While Celtic cannot match the exposure and the finances on offer in the Premier League, Ange Postecoglou’s side do have one clear advantage over their cross-border rivals (Sky Sports). The winners of Scotland’s top flight, these days, are rewarded with automatic qualification to the Champions League group-stages.
As such, Celtic will almost certainly be sharing a stage with Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich once again in 2023/24; maintaining their nine point lead over Rangers with Wednesday’s 3-1 triumph over Hearts.

Will Leeds United target Ardon Jashari end up at Celtic?
Jashari, arguably the brightest young talent in Swiss football, is highly likely to be on his way out of FC Luzern this summer. Leeds and promotion-chasing Middlesbrough are reportedly interested, per Sky. But reports from his homeland believe that the 20-year-old captain will end up at a club who ‘play regularly in the Champions League’.
Celtic, given their dominance of the domestic scene, tick that particular box. The Hoops will face considerable competition from the likes of FC Porto and numerous German clubs, however. Jashari’s rumoured £6 million asking price may also be a little rich for Hoops’ blood.
Nau believe that Jashari will become the most expensive export in the history of Switzerland’s top flight. Thereby succeeding another man who made his name at FC Luzern; the now-Bundesliga forward Ruben Vargas.
An ‘exceptionally gifted’ midfielder, Jashari has been likened to Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham due to his wide-ranging skill-set and technical ability.
“For me, Jashari is the greatest talent in Switzerland,” Luzern coach Mario Frick says of the tireless skipper. “He’s really good. I think this role (as one of the club’s captains) gives him an extra push.”
Jashari has one goal and four assists for Luzern this term. He also featured for Switzerland at the Qatar World Cup.
