Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has revealed to The Sun the extent to which he worked hard in order to get back into the team.
Boyata was a regular for Celtic during the 2015-16 campaign when Ronny Deila was in charge.
The former Manchester City defender, though, has struggled for playing time for the Bhoys so far this season.

The Belgium international is now getting his chances under Brendan Rodgers, who was appointed the Celtic manager in the summer of 2016.
Boyata, who is 26 years of age, has revealed what he did in order to convince Rodgers that he should be given a chance.

“You don’t know the work that I did when I wasn’t in the team,” Boyata told The Scottish Sun. “I would go back to the training ground and run until midnight or even 1am sometimes. If I had a day off I would also go to the training ground.

“It was hard, very hard, but I just told myself I wasn’t in the team because it took me so long to get over my injury.”

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 67 points from 23 matches.
The Bhoys are 25 points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers and are the clear frontrunners for the title.
The Hoops will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park in Perth in the Scottish Premiership.
