Celtic are closing in on Christopher Scott as they look to beat Brentford to the Bayern Munich youngster’s signature this summer.
The Bhoys haven’t yet dipped into the transfer market this summer but are expected to strike a number of incoming deals.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota could sign permanently this summer and Ange Postecoglou will want many more additions.
Celtic do like to bring in young talent to try and mould them for the future, and Christopher Scott could be one addition.
Celtic are closing in on Christopher Scott
Reports from Sky Germany in March suggested that Celtic were rivalling Brentford for the signing of Scott this summer.
Out of contract at Bayern Munich, the midfielder is seemingly leaving the Allianz Arena this summer.
Ghana Soccernet now report that Celtic are ‘close’ to signing Scott for compensation of around £250,000.
That would only apply if Bayern offer him a new deal; if not, Celtic can get in and land Scott for free.
Austrian side SK Austria Klagenfurt are also keen on Scott but Celtic are considered clear favourites.
You may wonder why Ghana Soccernet may know information about a German midfielder but Scott was born to Ghanaian parents and could end up playing for the African nation moving forward.

Scott, 19, predominantly plays as an attacking midfield player but has also played in a slightly deeper role.
Formerly of Bayer Leverkusen, Scott turned out for Bayern Munich II last season, playing in the Regionalliga Bayern – the fourth tier of German football.
Scott played 24 times last season, recording seven goals and six assists.
Scott appears to have potential but needs to develop away from Bayern.
Celtic now look ready to strike for Scott this summer, helping Postecoglou after the departures of Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic.
