Celtic are reportedly interested in Bayern Munich prospect Christopher Scott, with Premier League side Brentford also chasing the teenage German talent.

According to Sky Germany, the two British clubs are keen on Scott, with Bayern struggling to extend the 19-year-old attacker’s contract, which is set to expire this summer. And this situation has caught the attention of Celtic and Brentford.

As per the report, Scott is looking for regular football, and whilst the youngster has already made his Bayern debut and his thriving with the club’s second team, the Bavarian giants are not ready to hand the German youth international a permanent spot in the senior squad.

Compared to Chelsea superstar Kai Havertz as per the Bundesliga’s official website, a player the Blues paid a reported £71m for in 2020, Scott looks to have all the physical and technical traits to be an incredible attacker, and Celtic could be tempted to make a move for the teenager depending on where contract talks go.

Hailed for his versatility, Scott’s best position is as a no. 10, though the Celtic target has been known to play as a striker and in other various attacking positions for Bayern at youth level.

An excellent dribbler with pace and strength to breeze past opponents, it’s no wonder why both Celtic and Brentford are interested in Scott, and if Bayern are unable to hand the youngster a new contract, the Hoops must ensure they win the race for the teenager.
