Hibernian are trying to sign Kris Commons from Celtic, as his chances have been limited since Brendan Rodgers took charge.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has hinted in the Scotsman that Kris Commons could leave Parkhead to join Hibernian before deadline day.
Hibs are trying to seal a deal to bring Commons to the club on a permanent basis, after his loan spell with Neil Lennon’s side expired.

Rodgers is believed to see no future for Commons at Parkhead, with the attacking midfielder’s contract set to expire in the summer.
And Rodgers has confirmed that Celtic and Hibs are still trying to negotiate a deal for the 33-year-old.
“He had a good period at Hibs and they were keen to do something,” Rodgers said.

“It was between the clubs in terms of whether they could organise it, but also to do with Kris.
“Kris’s contract is up. He’s not just looking at the next six months, he is looking at the next few years. But in this moment he has had some treatment on his back and we will see what happens after that.”
Commons failed to break into Celtic’s team after Rodgers’ appointment, and he has not made one appearance for the Bhoys this term.
The veteran midfielder did impress with Hibs in the Championship though, and scored twice in five matches.
Commons is unlikely to be offered a new deal at Celtic, meaning he could be available at a cut price this month.
If Commons does leave Celtic, it will bring to an end a six year stay with the Glasgow club – where he has made 226 appearances and scored 91 goals.
