Celtic are interested in Francisco Ortega
The latest name linked with joining Celtic and battling for the left back role is Ortega.
The Scottish Daily Mail claim that Celtic are ‘exploring a move’ to bring Ortega to Scotland.
Celtic have allegedly compiled positive scouting reports on Ortega and could lure him to Parkhead.
Postecoglou suggested last summer that Celtic would look towards the Asian and South American markets.
We have seen Celtic sign a number of Japanese players in Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi.
Celtic haven’t really dipped into South America yet but those Postecoglou comments could now come true with a move for Argentinian ace Ortega.

Ortega, 23, has come up through the Velez ranks and has now made 97 first-team appearances for the Argentinian side.
10 assists in those 97 times is not a bad record for Ortega and he can offer real competition for Greg Taylor at Celtic.
Ortega hasn’t yet played for Argentina but does have two caps for their Olympic team and has previously been na Under-20 international.
Quick and attack-minded, Ortega has even played as a left-winger at times and Celtic may fancy adding that attacking option to compete with Taylor.
Hammarby’s Mohanad Jeahze is another Celtic target at left back and Ortega can now be added to the list of potential additions for the Bhoys.
