Antonio Cassano has told Bobo TV that Inter Milan should sell Tottenham transfer target Alessandro Bastoni in the January window – and replace him with another Spurs target, in the form of Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie.
Bastoni, 23, was strongly linked with Spurs in the summer – but a move did not materialise. Antonio Conte is clearly a big admirer of the Italy defender, having worked with him at Inter. He has clocked up 134 appearances for Inter.
CMW report that Tottenham’s interest remains, and they could make another move in January. He is rated in the region of £52million. Meanwhile, The Mirror claim Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea also have Hincapie on their shortlist.
The latter is impressing at the World Cup, with Ecuador boasting a strong chance to qualify for the last 16. Cassano believes Inter should cash in on Bastoni, and bring in Hincapie as his replacement – telling Bobo.TV, as per CM.
“If I were at Inter I’d give Bastoni away to get Hincapie from Ecuador. Left-footed, strong strong strong strong. Very strong, I’ve told with my friends, I told them to go hire Hincapie. The answer? Leverkusen is an expensive shop.”

The feeling is growing at Inter that Bastoni could go. It was made clear to Tottenham in the summer that he wanted to remain at the club. But Inter are struggling and even since the summer, Bastoni has shown signs of frustration.
Spurs do have options. Ben Davies is consistently good, but not excellent. Clement Lenglet is on loan, but it is unclear if Tottenham will make his loan a permanent one. So, getting a player like Bastoni may remain high on Conte’s to-do list.
A January sale looks unlikely. Whether Spurs will be ready to part with a fee as high as £52million in the winter window remains to be seen, as does the possibility Inter could cash in at the midway point of the current campaign.
