Liverpool fans feel the time is right for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to leave the club amid rumours that Arsenal want to re-sign him.

Jurgen Klopp has an array of midfield players to pick from and it could be argued that Oxlade-Chamberlain is pretty low on the list.

The likes of Curtis Jones and the currently injured Harvey Elliott have surged ahead of him, as he struggles to re-discoverer his form.

It has been a pretty difficult few years for Oxlade-Chamberlain since Arsenal were paid £35 million for his talents in 2017 (Sky Sports).

And the attack-minded midfielder could be back in Arsenal colours, with suggestions that they want to loan him in January.

Liverpool fans feel the Ox’s time is up because, since his long-term injury, he hasn’t looked like the same player.

He no longer has that drive, attacking intent or flair that saw the Reds pay so much money for him.

Injuries, lack of form and consistent minutes have all played a part in that and it does seem as though he needs a new chapter in his life.

Moving to the Emirates would be an interesting one, but leaving Anfield has to be a priority.

Oxlade-Chamberlain should just look towards Jesse Lingard, who was out of the picture at Old Trafford, and that six-month loan spell at West Ham transformed him.

Not only did he get back on the domestic map, but he is also back in England colours and perhaps the Ox should follow suit.

Here is a selection of Liverpool fans reacting to those Oxlade-Chamberlain rumours:
