West Ham United left it late to beat West Brom last night.
Hammers hero Andy Carroll spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 2-1 win over the Baggies last night, and shared what he told Aaron Cresswell just before firing home his side’s equaliser against Alan Pardew’s men, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 28-year-old has struggled with both injuries and form this season, and has endured his fair share of criticism from the West Ham faithful.
His brace last night was the first time he has found the back of the net this term in what was his 13th appearance for the east London outfit.

After his two goals last night though, Carroll will now surely be full of confidence as his side head into the final third of their campaign.
When he is firing on all cylinders, the former Newcastle United and Liverpool hitman is almost unplayable, and Moyes will be delighted to have so many of his forward players hitting form at the right time.
Carroll spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his virtuoso display last night, and shared what he told Cresswell just before restoring parity for his side, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“It was an all right ball in from Cress, but I made it look better! I told him just to put it in and I’d get it. He’s put a great ball in and I’ve managed to get above the defender and any touch on it and would go in the back of the net. It was a great ball.”
Next up for West Ham is a trip to Wembley Stadium to take on Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, and they will need Carroll to be at his very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking anything from the game.
