Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was not impressed by Leeds United before the game at Elland Road last night.
The Reds took on Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Premier League last night.
It was the first game in the Premier League since the controversial European Super League was announced.
Liverpool are one of 12 clubs who are part of the breakaway group, and ahead of the game, Leeds made it clear that they are not a fan of the idea.
As reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds players wore T-shirts in pre-match warm-up condemning the European Super League.
Leeds also left a number of similar T-shirts in the visiting team’s dressing room for Liverpool, according to the report.
The Yorkshire Evening Post quotes Klopp as saying: “I heard already there are warm-up shirts or whatever. We will not wear them because we cannot. But if somebody thinks he has to remind us you have to earn the Champions League, that’s a real joke. It makes me angry.”

Former Liverpool defender Carragher was on Monday Night Football last night, and he was asked if he understood Klopp’s reaction.
The Englishman responded on Sky Sports Premier League (7:18pm, April 19, 2021): “Yes, I do and it goes back to the first answer. This is not about the football clubs, this is about the owners of those clubs, this mafia that is trying to turn English football into American style sport where there are franchises and there’s no relegation, and that’s why he is frustrated and rightly so.”
It was a bit cheeky of Leeds to do that, and one can understand why Klopp was not happy.
However, it could be the start of something that clubs who are not in the European Super League do to make a point to the so-called Big Six teams.
