Jack Harrison is a much-wanted man this summer, with Newcastle United keen to sign him, but he has posted on Instagram that he ‘can’t wait’ for the season to start with Leeds United.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a healthy and positive pre-season under Jesse Marsch, but the rumours just don’t stop going away regarding Newcastle United.
Leeds have already lost two of their star men this summer – Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha – the last thing they need is another one of their key players heading for the exit door.

The issue is here that the new Premier League season is around the corner, and if Harrison were to head to St James’ Park, then there isn’t a replacement already on board.
All of this probably keeps some of the Leeds fans anxious, especially given that they survived relegation by the skin of their teeth last time out.
But going by Harrison’s latest post on IG, he is ignoring those rumours and looking forward to Leeds’ opening day Premier League clash against Wolves.
CAN NEWCASTLE LAND HARRISON AND MADDISON?
With the 2022 summer transfer window set to slam shut on September 1, Newcastle aren’t done with their business and they are targeting two English players.
Leicester City’s attacking midfielder, James Maddison, is another name on the club’s radar, with the Saudi-owner club putting in the latest bid of £50 million for the player, as reported by Sky Sports.
Whilst Leeds don’t want to lose Harrison, it seems as though they have put a £40 million price tag on the former Manchester City star’s head.
The Magpies have all the money in the world, so this isn’t a case of being able to pay up, but whether they are willing to push the boat out.
Either way, it will be interesting to see if the offers increase from Newcastle, and whether that tempts either Maddison or Harrison to ask for a move.
