‘Can’t catch a break’: Some Arsenal fans ‘actually scared’ after David Ornstein’s report

Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting after David Ornstein reported Manchester United are set to appoint Ralf Rangnick as interim manager.

So, why do Arsenal fans care about this? Well, not only are Man United among their biggest rivals in the league, Rangnick’s first game may well be against Arsenal.

Indeed, while Ornstein reports the appointment is imminent, work permit issues may mean the German can’t take charge until after the Red Devils’ game against Chelsea.

Arsenal fans fear Rangnick and the new manager bounce

Gunners fans fear Manchester United will benefit from the fabled ‘new manager bounce’ and they’re not feeling very optimistic about their chances of getting a result at Old Trafford.

Whether Rangnick can mastermind a win against Arsenal remains to be seen but the new manager bounce is a real phenomenon and the Gunners could suffer because of it.
