It is a case of new season, new look, for one Arsenal player.
Well two actually because Rob Holding also grew a beard and sported a completely-shaved head in the Gunners’ clash against Rangers last week.
But it seems like Miguel Azeez has also switched things up ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
The 18-year-old posted a number of pictures himself training at London Colney this afternoon.
Not only is Azeez a stand-out player for his talent, but he also caught the eye because of his long dreadlocks.
But the young man revealed photos of himself with significantly shorter hair than when Arsenal fans last saw him.
Here’s how some reacted on Twitter:
Big year
It’s a big season for the Hale End graduate.
Football.London have reported earlier in the summer that Mikel Arteta will be giving him a lot more senior opportunities next season.
And given that Arsenal have no European football, it means that if the report is true, a Premier League debut for Azeez could be on the horizon.
It’ll be difficult because Arteta has already signed one midfielder – Albert Sambi Lokonga – and another one could follow in the form of James Maddison.
But if what we’re hearing is true then Arteta’s a big fan of the youngster and it’ll be fascinating to see what the plan is.
