Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac is reportedly a target for Premier League side Watford heading into the January transfer window.
According to the Telegraph, Claudio Ranieri’s side are eager to bolster their defensive options in the second half of the season, with Kolasinac emerging as an option for Watford.
The Bosnian defender has become a forgotten man at Arsenal with Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares Mikel Arteta’s prefered left-backs. So much so that Kolasinac has played more for his national team this season than for the Gunners.
With Tierney and Tavares both young and Kolasinac’s deal expiring in the summer, it is likely that the former Schalke defender will be off in 2022, and Watford could be the fullback’s next destination.
With Kolasinac now free to talk to clubs ahead of a pre-contract move, it wouldn’t be totally surprising to see Arsenal allow the defender to leave for Watford for free.
Last January saw Arsenal let the likes of Mesut Ozil, Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi all walk for nothing as the Gunners had a winter clearout. And early signs suggest that a similar sale could happen in the New Year.
As well as Kolasinac, the futures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are up in the air, yet for Arsenal fans on social media, they are desperate for the defender to leave for Watford.
Arsenal fans urge Watford to make Kolasinac move

With Kolasinac third-choice left-back, Arsenal supporters believe it will be best for the defender to leave in January, and Watford could be an ideal destination for the 28-year-old.
