Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will win against Jesse Marchs’s Leeds United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.

The former Arsenal star believes that Tottenham will pick up all three points from the encounter against Leeds courtesy of a 3-2 win.

The Sky Sports pundit has praised Leeds for their attacking approach, but he has pointed out that the West Yorkshire club concede too many goals.

Merson has added that Tottenham need to play like they did in the second half against Liverpool.

Leeds have scored 19 goals in 13 Premier League matches so far this season, but they have also conceded 22 goals.

Paul Merson predicts Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United

Merson wrote: “Wow, I’m not sure about this game. Leeds attack and attack, and when the other team breaks, you wonder where it came from. There will be goals in this game because Leeds cannot defend.

“Leeds play with a lot of energy, and fair play to them – they stick to their guns.

“They play exactly the same way whether they’re winning or losing, and that seems to be their Achilles’ heel.

“They always play gung-ho football, and they’ll cause Tottenham a few problems because of their energy.

“Tottenham need to have a go now. If they can play like they did in the second half against Liverpool, they can really be a proper team.

“They’ve turned it on in 45-minute spells against Marseille and Bournemouth, and they need to learn to play 90-minute football.

“I think it’s come to a stage where Antonio Conte will ask his players to just go out and express themselves.

“Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 Leeds United.”

Who will win?

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur will win against Leeds United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.

Spurs do have the better team, although Leeds will head into he match with confidence as they have won their last two Premier League games.

Tottenham will have to start the match strongly, and we think that head coach Antonio Conte will make sure that they do.

We predict a narrow win for Tottenham against Leeds in North London in the Premier League this weekend.
