Celtic supporters were aghast upon witnessing footage of Monday afternoon’s press conference

Celtic fans have responded with horror to Neil Lennon’s incredible press conference.
With the media and Scottish government among his targets, Lennon set about defending his club’s trip to Dubai, only for his comments to go viral and generate further controversy.
Protests calling for Lennon to leave began outside Celtic Park in November following the 2-0 Betfred Cup defeat against Ross County, and it’s clear from the reaction on Twitter that the manager’s latest comments have done little to win supporters over.

Shortly after returning from the UAE it was confirmed that defender Christopher Jullien had tested positive for Covid-19, and as a result Lennon, his assistant John Kennedy and 13 players would be required to self-isolate.
Monday saw confirmation that another player had tested positive, but a defiant Lennon insisted: “Everybody’s negative. The whole squad’s negative bar two players. I think that’s remarkable.
“And I think it totally blows out the water the way the trip, the way the training camp has been portrayed, by certain quarters of the media, by certain pundits, and by certain Government officials as well.
“WE DID NOT ABUSE ANY ‘PRIVILEGE’.
“We did the right things. We were absolutely totally professional. We had a little drink in the afternoon on the day off.
“Completely allowed, no law-breaking, yet we come back to this barrage of absolute hypocrisy.”
Clips from the press conference quickly went viral, as Celtic supporters were forced to endure another day of PR disasters from their club.
These fans were distinctly unimpressed.
In other news, a poll of over 4,000 Celtic fans today saw Eddie Howe overwhelmingly named as the man they want to see in the dugout.
