The French side agreed to take the England Under-21 international on loan for the 2022/23 campaign back in August, with Mikel Arteta keen for the Hale End graduate to play more senior football.

14 of those goals have come in 20 Ligue 1 appearances, putting him ahead of superstars such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in the Ligue 1 scoring charts.

The Arsenal prodigy recently scored a 96th minute equaliser against Paris Saint-Germain to preserve Reims’ 12-game unbeaten run in Ligue 1, cooly taking the ball around Gianluigi Donnarumma before slotting home.

He then ensured Reims stretched their unbeaten run to 13 games with a stunning hattrick in a 4-2 win over Lorient.

Hopefully, Balogun can continue his excellent form in France, and return to Arsenal ready to fight the likes of Jesus and Nketiah for a first-team spot.
