Kevin Campbell has claimed that Arsenal transfer target, Gabriel Jesus, is ‘really underrated’, as he told the Highbury Squad.
There is a lot of talk that Jesus could leave Manchester City this summer and he is ‘open’ to the idea of joining Arsenal, according to The Athletic.
It’s just a case of it being confirmed, but by the end of today, Mikel Arteta and his players would have missed out on Champions League football.
With the Gunners needing a striker – or even two this summer – it might dent their chances of signing the players they really want, including Jesus.
But, if Arsenal manage to add the 25-year-old to their ranks, then club legend, Campbell, thinks he is a ‘really good’ player.
“I think Jesus is a really underrated player,” said Campbell. “I really do. I think he’s really good.”

JESUS WOULD FIT IN AT ARSENAL PERFECTLY
Arsenal don’t just need a finisher up top – and Jesus would be a better option in that regard than Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah – but also someone to knit the play together.
Jesus would argue, added with his ability to play across the front three, that he could do that better than anyone at the club, at the moment.
Added with that, the Brazil international has worked with Arteta before when he was Pep Guardiola’s assistant, so that helps matters.
But if Arsenal secure Jesus’ talents in the summer, without Champions League football, then it would be a real statement of intent from them.
