Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are set to miss out on Eduardo Camavinga to Real Madrid, according to Goal and Fabrizio Romano.
Liverpool’s interest
Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for Rennes midfielder Camavinga.
90min reported only on August 23 that the former Premier League champions wanted to hold talks with Rennes over signing Camavinga in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United and Chelsea were among the other clubs named in the report.
Real Madrid transfer imminent
However, latest reports suggest that Camavinga is about to join Spanish and European giants Madrid.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that the teenager has completed his medical and is now on the verge of moving to Madrid.
Goal have also reported that a deal is about to be completed.

Blow for Liverpool
Camavinga is only 18, but the midfielder is highly rated, including by Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The France international is technically very good and can impose himself in the middle of the park.
The teenager would have made Liverpool better, not just for now, but for years to come, but it is Madrid who are going to get him now.
Camavinga scored one goal and gave two assists in 28 Ligue 1 starts for Rennes last season.
