Did Cade Cunningham just create the greatest starting 5 of all time?

One of the biggest talking points among fans is what would be the greatest starting lineup in NBA history.

Given the level of talent we have seen in the NBA over the years, that’s not an easy question to answer. But Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham may have just given the best answer possible.

Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls (L) eyes the basket as he is guarded by Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers during their 01 February game in Los Angeles, CA. Jordan will appear in his 12th NBA All-Star game 08 February while Bryant will make his first All-Star appearance. The Lakers won the game 112-87.

Cade Cunningham names Michael Jordan and LeBron James in all-time starting 5

During a brief autograph signing, Cade Cunningham was asked by a fan to name his all-time starting 5 from the greatest players in NBA history.

Cunningham picked Stephen Curry at point guard, Michael Jordan at shooting guard, LeBron James at small forward, Tim Duncan at power forward, and Shaquille O’Neal at center.

“All-time starting 5, not including me? Steph at 1, Mike at 2, Kobe at 3, Bron at 4, and let’s go with Shaq at the 5.

“With them on the same team, I think they have a chance of going 82-0. But they gotta be locked in. I’ll probably say, 77-5.”

No other starting 5 can top Cade Cunningham’s legendary squad

All the players Cade Cunningham picked for his all-time starting five have a strong case to be called the greatest player of all time.

To put all of them on the same team together, especially in their primes, would create the greatest team in NBA history.

No other collection of other NBA players, no matter how talented, would be able to compete with this squad and stand a chance of winning.

It’s a shame we can never see these players take to the court together in their primes, as it would have been a sight to behold.
