After catching the eye with the Los Angeles Lakers, Jordan Goodwin has taken on a bigger role with the Phoenix Suns, earning a place in their starting line-up.

Phoenix have surprised quite a few people this season. They are 11-6 and currently sitting sixth in the Western Conference standings.

It was not expected to go this well after losing Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in the offseason, but early on, things have fallen into place.

Even with Jalen Green dealing with injuries again, the Suns have not backed down. They have held their own against some of the top teams in the league.

One of Phoenix’s more interesting additions this year has been Goodwin. He has stepped up to earn a starting spot while Ryan Dunn has been sidelined.

Following the Phoenix Suns’ impressive win over the San Antonio Spurs, Devin Booker took a moment to highlight the impact Goodwin has had on the team.

Booker did not hold back, saying he told Dillon Brooks that Goodwin’s feel for the game is something he has not seen before.

“He’s always at the right place at the right time. He defends at a high level and makes the hustle plays that we need. He’s been hitting on all cylinders.

“Dillon (Brooks) and I were just talking about it. He has a knack for basketball. He’s going to find it one way or another, and it’s super impressive,” Booker stated.

Jordan Goodwin is putting up strong numbers as a role player

Goodwin has made a strong impression with the Phoenix Suns, proving that their decision to sign him this fall was a smart one.

His numbers show just how solid he has been for them.

Goodwin’s efficiency from three-point range stands out, as he is hitting nearly 38% of his shots from deep.

The 27-year-old credits his time alongside LeBron James and Luka Doncic for helping him grow as an NBA player. The Suns are now starting to see the benefits of that development.
