Stuart Broad has claimed that he is ‘buzzing’ that Nottingham Forest are about to sign Dean Henderson from Manchester United.

The England fast bowler reacted in the comments section of Sky Sports’ Instagram post where they shared that Forest are ‘close to agreeing on a deal’ for Henderson to join them on loan from Manchester United.

It seems as though the newly-promoted side then have an option to pay Manchester United £20 million for the Englishman’s services.

Broad posted the following message when reacting to the rumour: “I would be buzzing with that.”

HENDERSON IS A SOLID PURCHASE FOR FOREST

Henderson watched on from the bench week in and week out last season, as Man United endured their worst season in Premier League history.

But, the last time he played on a regular basis was in the colours of Sheffield United, who he helped to promotion from the Championship and then a strong first season finish in the Premier League.

So, going into a dressing room where some players are competing in England’s top-flight for the first time, won’t be alien to the goalkeeper.

In fact, it will very much help Steve Cooper because this upcoming task is going to be a different animal altogether for the Midlands giants.

But, for Henderson himself, this is also a chance for him to get back into the England fold, after losing his place during the past 18 or so months.

Jordan Pickford is the undisputed number one for the Three Lions, with Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale as the back-up, but that’s where the door opens for Henderson.

Nick Pope is third in line, but as things stand, he is in the Championship, after Burnley were relegated on the final day of the Premier League season.

So, he needs to find a new home in the top-flight, or else someone like Henderson might take his place for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
