The Burnley boss has been linked with the vacant Leicester City manager’s job.

Sean Dyche, Manager of Burnley reacts during the Premier League match between Everton and Burnley at Goodison Park on October 1, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

The Foxes are currently without a manager after parting ways with Craig Shakespeare earlier on this week, and Clarets boss Sean Dyche responded to speculation linking him with the King Power hot-seat, as quoted by Sky Sports.

Dyche has worked miracles during his time in charge at Turf Moor, bringing stability to Burnley, and guiding his side to a fabulous start to their 2017/18 Premier League campaign.

The Lancashire outfit currently sit comfortably in seventh position in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of the Champions League spots, but unfortunately for Burnley, Dyche’s fine work has not gone unnoticed, as his stock within the game continues to rise.

Sean Dyche manager of Burnley shouts out instructions to his side during the Premier League match between Chelsea and Burnley at Stamford Bridge on August 12, 2017 in London, England.

And the Clarets boss responded to rumours linking him to the Leicester manager’s job, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“First of all, I don’t want any manager to lose their job, I’m in the business and it’s very tough. There’s always empathy in that situation. It’s not the first time I’ve been linked. In a way you’re flattered by these links because it’s some form of recognition of the work that’s been done by the players, by the staff and by myself at this club. But they are paper stories. There’s no story from me. I’ve had it before and that’s the way it is. I’m not aware of any approach from any club during my time here.”

Burnley fans will be fearful of the prospect of Dyche leaving the club, after the incredible job he has done at Turf Moor.

And it will be absolutely vital for the Clarets board to back their manager in the transfer market over the next couple of windows, to prove to him that they match his ambition.
