Thriving Bundesliga and Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder, Jesper Lindstrøm, has claimed that Aston Villa’s Philippe Coutinho is his ‘favourite’ player, alongside Neymar, as he told 433 on Instagram.
The 21-year-old won the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the month for December and shared that Aston Villa boss, Steven Gerrard, used to be his favourite prior to him hanging up his boots.
Lindstrøm is one of the top talents in Germany’s top-flight and he made his Denmark debut in 2020.
Prior to moving to Frankfurt, the forward-thinking midfielder was rumoured to be gaining interest from teams such as Arsenal and West Ham.
But a move didn’t materialise for the youngster, who has four goals in 18 league matches from the middle of the park for his ninth-placed side.
Nonetheless, when Lindstrøm was asked about his favourite players currently, this was the simple answer he gave.
“It was Steven Gerrard,” said Lindstrøm. “But it’s now Neymar and Coutinho.”

Even though in recent years Coutinho has had a difficult time on the pitch, he still has his fair share of supporters from across the globe.
At this moment in time, life has started off in a very positive fashion for the Brazil international in the Midlands and he will be hoping that only grows.
Villa have loaned the 29-year-old from Barcelona, but if things go well, then they have the option to sign him up long term at the end of the season.
If that happens, then the player would have done a lot of things right and it only further indicates the great deal Villa manage to do with Barcelona when first signing him.
