Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Sevilla are set to sign paperworks with Tottenham Hotspur over a swap deal involving Bryan Gil and Erik Lamela.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on the social networking site that Tottenham will also pay €25 million (£21.40m) for 20-year-old Spain international winger.
Exciting update
It was Romano who first broke the news about Tottenham’s interest in Sevilla youngster Gil.
It seems that talks between Tottenham and Sevilla have progressed well, and that a deal is imminent.
It is probably a better deal for Tottenham.
Yes, Gil is only 20, but the Spain international has a lot of potential.

The youngster scored four goals and gave three assists in 28 La Liga appearances during his loan spell at Eibar last season.
Apparently, Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici is convinced that Gil could be the next Federico Chiesa.

Lamela is much more experienced, but the Argentina international, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has not exactly been great for Spurs over the years.
The attacker has scored some spectacular goals, but he has also had injury problems.
The 29-year-old has scored 17 goals in 177 Premier League appearances for Spurs so far in his career.
