The Aston Villa midfielder has been superb in recent weeks.

Villa boss Steve Bruce addressed the media ahead of his side’s FA Cup third round clash with Peterborough tomorrow, and raved about the potential of Jack Grealish, suggesting that playing football is in the youngster’s blood, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The 22-year-old was magnificent during the Villans’ superb 5-0 win over Bristol City on Monday, but he has endured a troublesome campaign, with injuries hampering his progress.

Bruce will be delighted to have Grealish back fully fit and available for selection, with his side entering the crucial part of their season.

The west Midlands outfit currently sit in fifth position in the Championship table, five points adrift of the automatic promotion spots, with 20 league games still to play.

The Championship is well renowned for being a war of attrition, so having as many key players fit and available will be vital for Villa, if they are to achieve promotion back to the Premier League this season.

Bruce spoke to reporters today, ahead of his side’s clash with the Posh tomorrow, and singled out Grealish for praise, highlighting the 22-year-old’s love for the game as something that will serve him well, as quoted by AVFC.co.uk:

“The one thing I always believe with Jack is that if he wasn’t playing for Aston Villa, he’d be playing with his mates anyway. He loves the game of football. When you see how he played the other day, you can see why we’re excited about his potential.”

Villa fans will now be hoping to see the best of Grealish for the remainder of the season, and if he can produce the goods, Bruce’s men will have an excellent chance of earning promotion.
