The future of one exciting Brighton & Hove Albion attacker is unclear as Fabian Hurzeler begans life at the AMEX Stadium.
Former St Pauli manager Fabian Hurzeler has been given the reins at Brighton & Hove Albion this summer following Roberto De Zerbi’s decision to depart and take over at French side Marseille.
Manchester United were understood to be interested in the Italian manager but HITC understands he turned down interest from those at Old Trafford.
For Hurzeler, who is certainly known for being very regimented with his players, this will be his first taste of Premier League football and it is imperative that Brighton get things right.

Brighton player’s father opens up on his son’s future
One player who’s future is uncertain at the AMEX Stadium this summer is Jeremy Sarmiento, who spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion and Ipswich Town as the East Anglian side achieved promotion to the Premier League.
After the two loan spells in the EFL Championship, the winger, who has a contract at Brighton until 2027, will return to the South Coast club with his future far from certain.
In an interview with Ole, Sarmiento’s father, Leonel, opens up on his son’s future and has said where he would like his son to go.
“Jeremy legally belongs to Brighton, but there are a lot of clubs interested from Spain and Germany. Either we stay in England or we go to Spain or Germany. Brighton are the first option, because they are the owner of Jeremy’s pass,” he said.
“We have options from Germany and Spain. We have to analyse what is the best option for Jeremy, a team that gives him minutes and where he is a star player. The teams that are interested in Jeremy are from the first division.”
Sarmiento’s father does rule out move
Despite the 22-year-old’s father admitting that a move away from the Premier League club could be a possibility, there is one place Sarmiento will not be moving to.
“The player who goes to the United Arab Emirates lowers his level. Jeremy has to be in a team where there is football and competitiveness, not where money is easily earned but where there is no football,” he added.
Sarmiento featured in 40 Championship games during his spell in the second tier of English football, scoring five times and assisting once.
