When Bukayo Saka returned to Arsenal training this week, it is quite easy to forget how eventful a summer the England winger had.
The 19-year-old winger established himself as one of most exciting teenagers in world football. Moreover, Saka captured the imagination of an entire nation.
The attacker was Man of the Match in the final group stage match against the Czech Republic. And Saka was impressive against Germany and Denmark as the Three Lions went all the way to the final.
However, we all know what happened that night at Wembley Stadium. Saka stepped up for the fifth and decisive penalty in the shootout, but Gianluigi Donnarumma easily saved the youngsters spot-kick.
Indeed, it was not how anybody wanted Saka’s Euro tournament to end. However, the vile toxic abuse that came his way, as well as for Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, again put a spotlight on how far England as a country has to go when tackling racism and discrimination.
Arsenal fans are buzzing to see Saka back in training
It has been well over three weeks since the final. Moreover, this week saw Saka return to Arsenal training, with the England winger set for a huge season with his boyhood club.

Indeed, the Gunners have been one of the busiest sides in the window this summer as Mikel Arteta aims to rebuild the club back to one of the best in England.
Yet on social media, plenty of fans are buzzing to see Saka, who earns £33,000-a-week, back in training following a summer where the entire nation fell in love with the Arsenal attacker.
