The Celtic boss has guided his team to an insurmountable lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Speaking to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen last night, Brendan Rodgers shared the message he gave to his side before the game in an effort to help motivate them, as quoted by the Sunday Post.

The Hoops now hold an incredible 25 point lead over second placed Rangers, and a further two point advantage over yesterday’s opponents Aberdeen.
And Rodgers told reporters how he highlighted a quite incredible statistic to help get his side up for last night’s contest, as quoted by the Sunday Post:
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
“I said to the players before the game, on February 3 last year they played Aberdeen but they lost and Aberdeen went three points behind Celtic. So if you win this game, in less than a year, you go 27 points in front. That difference, and how you create that, means you cannot go soft. You need to push and you need to keep fighting. We have a record, great, but we’re not going soft, we have to fight, we have to be relentless, and you have to win. And they did that.”

The Glasgow giants have now won 22 and drawn one of their 23 league games this term, but the longer term picture for Rodgers must be to find a way of becoming more competitive on the continent.
And that will surely come by keeping their best players, including the likes of Moussa Dembele, and slowly but surely making smart acquisitions to their squad over the course of the next year or so.
Are you disappointed that Celtic missed out on this man?
Next up for Rodgers’ men is a trip to St Johnstone on Sunday where they will be looking to extend their unbeaten run.
