Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has refused to rule out a potential move for Steven Gerrard, at his latest press conference.
Gerrard announced yesterday that he would be leaving LA Galaxy, and the 36-year-old is expected to return to Britain now.
Celtic are the favourites to sign Gerrard, and Rodgers was coy with his response when asked whether he was interested in the Liverpool legend.
Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has already suggested that he would love to see Gerrard at Parkhead, with the rumour gathering pace in recent weeks.
Gerrard insists that he does not want to retire yet, and Rodgers reportedly feels that the England international would add quality to Celtic’s line-up.
Gerrard scored five goals in 38 appearances while playing for the Galaxy in MLS.
Gerrard already has a good relationship with Rodgers, after the pair worked together at Liverpool.
If Gerrard was to join Celtic he would be in line to win his first league title, as the Bhoys are currently 10 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
