Moussa Dembele has been grabbing all the headlines for Celtic this season, but one player who has quietly and efficiently gone about his business is Scott Sinclair.

The 27-year-old winger joined the Bhoys from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016 and has established himself as a key player for the Glasgow giants.

Sinclair is a rejuvenated figure at Celtic and is playing very well. The former Chelsea and Manchester City winger has played an important role in the Glasgow giants running away with the Scottish Premiership title.

As stated on Celtic’s official website, the Englishman has scored 16 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for the Glasgow giants so far this season.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has suggested that he has not been surprised by the number of goals Sinclair has scored this campaign, having worked with him at Swansea City, who are now in the Premier League.

The Celtic boss has also outlined what Sinclair has brought to the team that was missing when he first took charge.

“I have been asked if I have surprised by his goals but I haven’t,” Rodgers told The Glasgow Evening Times about Sinclair.

“He scored 27 for me when he was a young boy in the Championship to get us promoted. He scored 9 in seven games for Swansea in the Premier League.

“He has a hunger to score goals and is very robust and with a smile on his face. His pace and power in the middle to top was one of the things missing from the team when I came in and he brings that.”
