Shakhtar Donetsk’s young star Tete has named Liverpool as a club he dreams of playing for in the future in an interview with DAZN (via SportWitness).

The Brazilian was talking about the next steps in his career, and he’s said that he wants to play for some of the biggest clubs in the world, with Liverpool being one of the teams he’d love to play for.

“I always want to make bigger leaps. It’s normal to dream from a young age to play for big teams and with me it’s no different,” Tete told DAZN.

“I always dream of playing for Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, as I mentioned.”

It won’t be long until Tete is being eyed up by these giant clubs if he keeps up his current level of performance.

The youngster has been exceptional this season earning plaudits from some of the game’s top pundits, and his best performance of the season came on the biggest stage.

Tete was on fire when Shakhtar played Real Madrid last month, having a hand in all three of the Ukranian outfit’s goals on the night, and based on that performance, he could be an absolute star in the future.

This isn’t the first time that he’s flirted with the idea of signing for the Reds.

Indeed, he made a similar claim six months ago.

Unfortunately, it seems as though Liverpool isn’t his number one dream move.

Indeed, Tete would go on to say that the one team he has a special affection for is Barcelona.

“But the special affection I have is for Barcelona. It’s a team that I’ve always followed since I was little, since I was a child. I used to get Barcelona shirts, Messi shirts. So that passion grew every day and the affection I really have is for Barcelona.”

Of course, with Barcelona having ongoing financial problems, Liverpool could still beat them to his signature if a bidding war emerges.

At the moment there’s nothing to suggest that any of the aforementioned teams are interested in Tete, but if he continues his good form, it won’t be long before he is being coveted by this profile of club.
