Manchester United can steam ahead and put the recent season behind them after they secured their worst Premier League finish in three decades.
For months and months, no one was the wiser as to who would be in charge of the club because there was so much noise around Erik ten Hag’s future.
But now that ten Hag is going to stay at Manchester United, it has allowed the club to push ahead and bring in the players needed via the summer transfer market to pick things up again.
The powers that be at Manchester United aren’t listening to the outside noise and they are doing everything to back their manager.

Ten Hag’s transfer deals since he took to the Old Trafford dugout have been mixed.
The signing of Antony just hasn’t worked, whilst 21-year-old striker Rasmus Hojlund has shown so much promise after netting 16 goals in all competitions in his debut campaign.
Those are the forward areas. How about who Manchester United might bring in at the back? Especially with Raphael Varane leaving.
Sources have told HITC that Manchester United are pushing to sign Bayern Munich centre-back Matthijs de Ligt this summer.
The Dutch defender, who is currently at Euro 2024, has spoken to ten Hag this summer after the duo worked together at Ajax.
European football expert Kevin Hatchard labelled de Ligt as ‘brave’ and someone who isn’t afraid to share his thoughts, as he told United View.
The Bundesliga commentator backed the idea of de Ligt moving to Old Trafford and thinks it would be ‘silly’ if ten Hag didn’t reunite with him given how well they know each other.
Manchester United’s transfer interest in Matthijs de Ligt
“I like him very much and I always have,” said Hatchard. “If you go back to that Ajax team under ten Hag, a lot of the time he was holding the whole thing together at the back because of the way they played.
“He got a really good tune out of him back then – he does the defensive basics well. He’s brave on the ball. He is a leader. You listen to the way he talks, he is very honest, happy to criticise himself and his teammates as well. I think he would be a signing for any top club.
“Having worked with the coach before, and it ties in with the fact that ten Hag is staying, and it seems as though he is given a proper run at it – if he has worked well with de Ligt before, it’s silly not to consider him. Still relatively young and has all of those experiences.”

Matthijs de Ligt under Erik ten Hag
If Manchester United are going to back ten Hag amongst all the noise of those questioning him staying, then they have to back their manager all the way and bring him what he wants.
This possible deal for de Ligt makes sense and it leaves ten Hag with no room to hide.
If de Ligt comes in and struggles at Manchester United, those very same defensive issues are there, then it’s pretty obvious what is going to happen.
Manchester United’s FA Cup win over Manchester City saved the season for ten Hag, but those who are backing him aren’t going to be as pleasant if things don’t improve next term.
