Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has opened up on what has been a terrific first season for the Spaniard at the South Coast club.
After moving to the Cherries last summer from Rayo Vallecano, the Spaniard has done a superb job at Bournemouth with the pick of the results for Andoni Iraola being a dominant 3-0 win for his side against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard had received a lot of praise for his work on the South Coast and he had been linked to one of the top jobs in England.
HITC have reported that, prior to Chelsea going for Enzo Maresca from Leicester City, they did appreciate the work done by Iraola at the Vitality.

Iraola on debut season
Speaking to Spanish outlet Union Rayo, Iraola was asked about his future at the club and his reflections on his debut campaign.
“In football you never know, I am very happy in England, and I have renewed for another season,” he said.
“The contract in the coaching world is not of much use, but I want to try to do very well there. Bournemouth’s project is very good, young people with a long career.
“That has a close similarity with Rayo, although Rayo has more history than Bournemouth, but it does have a humble feeling. Each club has its characteristics, but with similarities.”
The decision to move to the Premier League from the La Liga club originally looked like a poor one after he struggled during his first 10 games in England but, after this, the young manager excelled.
Iraola has to be backed
The Spanish manager has shown his credentials to the fans and indeed to the decision makers at the club and it is now vital that he is backed in the transfer market.
Clubs around Bournemouth are expected to strengthen so matching these sides in the market will be vital if they are to remain in the Premier League and indeed push on to a potential top-half finish.
Iraola deserves a massive amount of credit for his time at the South Coast club and there is little surprise to see Chelsea admire his work.
