Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has told Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) to sign Boubacar Kamara from Marseille in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
Eddie Howe wants Boubacar Kamara at Newcastle
The Magpies are planning to make a bid of £10 million for Kamara and have lined up talks with the 22-year-old defensive midfielder’s agents.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in Kamara.
Newcastle manager Howe has reportedly told PIF that he thinks that Kamara is too good a player to miss out and have urged them to get a deal done quickly.
Good signing for Newcastle
In our opinion, Kamara would be a very good signing for Newcastle, not just for now, but for years to come as well.
The Frenchman is a very good and promising young player who has been playing regular first-team football for a while now.
Kamara has made 13 starts and three substitute appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season.

The Marseille no. 4 has scored one goal in those games.
Kamara has also made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League this season.
So, in our view, Kamara would make Newcastle better and stronger in the middle of the park.
