Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur are planning a late move for Arsenal target Yves Bissouma, according to The Mirror (print edition, page 66, August 29, 2021).
What’s the story?
The Mirror (print edition, page 66, August 29, 2021) are reporting that Tottenham are considering a bid for the 24-year-old midfielder before deadline day.
Spurs head coach Nuno is a fan of the Mali international, who is valued at £40 million by Brighton and Hove Albion.
Competition from Arsenal
Tottenham are not the only club from North London who are interested in Bissouma.
Journalist Duncan Castles said on the Transfer Window Podcast this week that Arsenal have asked Brighton how much it would cost to sign Bissouma.
Liverpool and Manchester United have also enquired about the Mali international, according to Castles.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Could a transfer happen?
It seems that Brighton will sell Bissouma if they get £40 million.
The midfielder himself could fancy a move to Spurs or Arsenal, as they would represent a step-up in his career.
Tottenham are clearly the more attractive proposition than Arsenal right now.

Arsenal have lost all three of their Premier League games this season and are unlikely to even challenge for the Champions League or the Europa League places.
Tottenham have a new head coach Nuno and a new sporting director Fabio Paratici and are planning to return to the Champions League.
Bissouma – described as “sensational” by Arsenal legend Ian Wright on Wrighty’s House Podcast this week – would make Tottenham better and stronger in the middle of the park.
