Arsenal defender Cedric Soares is set to remain with the north London side this season despite late interest from Turkey.
According to Football London, the Portuguese international is eager to remain in the Premier League. Fenerbahce are reportedly keen on the defender, but Cedric is set on staying with Arsenal this season.
The 30-year-old right-back faced backlash last weekend from supporters after a dreadful performance for the Gunners against Manchester City. Cedric started in defence as Arsenal lost 5-0.
The defender joined Arsenal on a free from Southampton last summer. And whilst Cedric has had some good performances under Mikel Arteta, the arrival of Takehiro Tomiyasu means that the defender will drop down to the bench.
Arsenal now have three right-backs on their books, with Calum Chambers also in the mix to compete alongside Cedric and Tomiyasu.
Indeed, there is excitement surrounding the Japanese international ahead of next week’s Premier League clash against Norwich City. The Gunners are desperate for a win after losing their three opening Premier League games.

Yet on social media, Arsenal fans are fuming that Cedric wants to stay the club despite the arrival of Tomiyasu. It is likely that the Portuguese defender will serve as backup to the 22-year-old fullback.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say on Twitter about Cedric staying at the club this summer…
