Liverpool fans are so relieved that Jurgen Klopp has revealed to BT Sport they suffered no injuries during their game against Porto last night.

Perfect night for Liverpool

With Liverpool’s progress to the knockout stages already secured, yesterday’s game was not the most important on the Reds’ calendar this year.

Klopp still named several senior players in his starting line-up for the contest though, as he looked to keep up his side’s 100% record in the competition.

The German boss’s decision proved correct, as Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners.

Arguably more importantly, they got game time into players who needed minutes, and avoided any more injuries in the 90 minutes.

“No injuries tonight! All the boys are good,” Klopp told BT Sport at full-time.

It has almost become a rarity for Liverpool fans to hear those words of late.

Klopp’s side have suffered rotten luck with fitness problems in recent seasons, which has often left them down to the bear bones.

Even now they have players sidelined with injuries, although their treatment room is starting to get emptier by the week.

And Liverpool fans were left celebrating the news that nobody got hurt last night, which made it a rather perfect evening for them.

Momentum building

With Klopp having a fully fit squad to pick from, Liverpool now have plenty of momentum on their side.

The Reds have picked up encouragingly well after the international break, after thrashing Arsenal and dispatching with Porto yesterday.

Klopp’s men are next in action against Southampton at the weekend, before a Merseyside derby against Everton awaits them at the start of December.
