Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has praised his new Gunners teammate Matt Turner in The Athletic.
Xhaka has said that although he has not seen Turner a lot in training, whatever he has seen of his new Arsenal teammate suggests that he has a big personalty and is very kind.
The 28-year-old USA international goalkeeper moved to Arsenal from Major League Soccer club, the New England Revolution, in the summer of 2022 for £5.75 million (The Daily Mail).

Xhaka told The Athletic about Turner: “I haven’t see him a lot, because he’s training with the goalkeeper coach. But as a person? Very, very positive. Very kind as well. Big personality.”

Good signing for the Gunners
In our view, Matt Turner is a good signing for Arsenal and will grow as a player in the coming years.
Turner is 28 now and has his best years ahead of him.
The American knows that he will play second fiddle to Aaron Ramsdale, but he seems confident of pushing the England international goalkeeper next season.
Turner has extensive experience of playing domestic league football with the New England Revolution, and he will not be fazed at the prospect of turning out for a massive club and a global brand such as Arsenal.
The goalkeeper could get playing time for Mikel Arteta’s side in the domestic cup competitions and in the UEFA Europa League next season.
